Blowing Off Some Steam

Having to work after decades of free time can really bring a guy down. After the initial shock of finding out that Edward has to actually work had worn off, us folks at Adventures in Twilightland felt sorry for the poor guy and treated him to a Polynesian getaway. Edward really liked the cruise. We found out he is a major fan of the movie "Titanic". The first few times he shouted out, "I'm king of the world!" was funny, but it got old fast.

Our first stop was the local petting zoo. Edward particularly enjoyed the flamingo exhibit. We had a couple of hairy moments as he wanted to munch on some of the animals. Everything turned out fine, though. Always prepared, Edward kept an umbrella on him at all times in case the sun broke through the clouds.

Little known vamp fact: Vampires like to get their drink on! We all know creatures of the night don't normally eat food or drink beverages besides blood, yet once in awhile they do enjoy adult beverages. Of course, they can drink way more than a human being which led to quite a high bar tab at the end of the evening.

Edward has a wicked sense of humor! First, he told Big C that he forgot his wallet back at the hotel and she would need to spot him a fiver. Then he suddenly remembered that he offered to buy the whole bar a round and she'd have to cover for him. He finally let her in on his little joke.

As a token of appreciation for his relaxing getaway, Edward bought everyone at Adventures in Twilightland a drink. Little A and J Man offered to share with Edward, but he politely declined.

We all walked back to the hotel together at the end of the evening and since vampires don't need to sleep, Edward decided to explore more of the island on his own. None of us know what he did the rest of that first night, but this is how we found him the next morning, chilling in the lobby.

More vacation fun later this week!

Poor Little Rich Boy

Adventures in Twilightland would like to thank one of our newest contributors, J Man, for helping us break this tragic story. He, along with the help of Big C and Little A, was able to get this never before seen photo of Edward Cullen in his Merry Maids uniform.

Cullen Rumor

We are sad to say that these tough economic times not only affect humans, but they also take a toll on the living dead.

It has come to our attention that the Cullen clan is not doing so well with their stocks options - Alice must be hanging out with too many werewolves - and Edward has had to take a side job in order to help the family make ends meet. Edward Cullen now works for Merry Maids.

To all of you non-believers, be prepared for photographic evidence of this fall from grace later this week.

Behold, in all his glory ...

80s style tracksuit Edward!!!

Edward can run, pounce, and beat up non-vegetarian vampires with ease in this awesome tracksuit. Notice how the raspberry and bright blue colors accentuate his paleness.
What a dreamboat!

"Twilight" DVD Release Party

As you know, Twilight was released last weekend and we drove on down to Illinois to snag a copy of our very own at midnight. The festivities at Borders were ok, a bit too tame for our tastes, but overall, not bad. There was a book scavenger hunt, Twilight trivia, a raffle, and a special video from the cast of Twilight thanking their fans. You could also find out which Twilight character has a personality similiar to yours. Little T is most like Bella, C is similiar to Jasper, and Big T happens to be like 2 characters: Emmett and Jacob.

We met some nice other Twilighters, picked up several boxes of Twilight conversation hearts (the purple ones as disgusting, as per Big T), and Little T picked up a guy. You may know him; his name is Edward Cullen.

C, posing as Victoria, happily passes the time in line by reading
an Lolcats book.

Big T proudly displaying her "Twilight" DVD ticket. Notice the snowy owl behind
her, just like in the movie! Little T insists we mention that Big T attempted to
dress up like Alice, but it didn't really work out...

Little T as Bella, you know how clumsy that girl is.
Again Little T insists I add that you notice her cast is
real, not merely a prop.

Waiting in line for our own copy of "Twilight".

Big T and Little T were so excited about the
movie being released that they had to watch it
on the iPod. Big T forgot her good speakers at
work, so they ended up using Little T's iDog.
The darn thing kept barking, so we had to
pet it throughout the whole movie.

Please note: Big T does not normally sound like a Muppet on crack, but it was late. Enjoy C's jazz hands.

Counting Down the Seconds

We are anxiously awaiting the release of Twilight on DVD and getting the chance to meet other Twilighters tonight.

More later!

Welcome to Adventures in Twilightland

First, we want you all to know that we realize there is more to life than Twilight. We don't spend every waking moment talking and thinking about Twilight, but it is near and dear to our hearts.
I mean, who hasn't arranged a group of co-workers to go see the midnight release of Twilight? And it's normal to spend 4 days in a row reading the whole series, right? So what if you are on your second set of Twilight books because the first ones were loaned to your best friend and you missed reading them so much you had to get yourself replacement copies? (You're welcome, Stephenie Meyer).

Needless to say, we dig all things Twilight. Within this blog you will find our Twilight musings, declarations of adoration, and all sorts of other silly Twilight-related nonsense. And to all you other Twilight fans, we'd love to hear from you.
